Moving always involves a few trade offs. In this case we lost a few floors and in the process and don’t quite have the light coming in the windows that we once did. In order to keep our plants alive, we needed some auxiliary lighting. Menards had these Bell & Howell “As Seen On TV” light for $25 each. I was a bit skeptical, but decided to give them a try. Like all of these plant lights they aren’t very attractive to look at, so we did our best to hide them by integrating them into these “classic” Ikea shelves. So far the plants seem to be happy with the extra light. The Anthurium is set to turn on for 3 hours and the Pitcher Plan is set for 6. So far they seem happy with this, but it’s a little early to tell, so feel free to throw out any suggestions.
